SHOW CARD/OWNER ONLY CARD
·
All Horses/Ponies must be registered to Veteran Horse Showing if wishing to compete in the Home Produced
Showing
Series and be eligible to qualify for Olympia. The registration form must be filled in by the current VHS
Rider/Hander
member. One Show card allows two members to compete. If the Owner is not competing with the
animal then the
owner requires a OWNER ONLY AFFILIATION, please note the owner is classed as the name on the equine
passport. No owner can be under the age of 16 years.

All Horse/Pony Showing Card and Owner Only card registration New and Renewed are now done through Veteran
Horse Showing Office, Suncrest 119 High Lane, Brown Edge, Stoke on Trent, Staffordshire ST6
8RT.
·
Veteran Horse Showing equine Age Badge will be FREE OF CHARGE. Please remember to state the animal's age
you need on your show card application form. Postage: please supply a A5 LARGE FIRST CLASS STAMPED
ADDRESSED ENVELOPE for the return of your show card and age badge.

IMPORTANT. Remember you must be a member with a membership number before applying for the showing card.

PERFORMANCE AWARDS
·
The purpose of the Performance Awards Scheme is to encourage and reward the capabilities of the Veteran horse
and pony by offering a wide range of classes and activities in the equestrian world. To gain points you may
compete
at many different equestrian activities not just Veteran Classes.
·
The competition is open to Stallions, Mares and Geldings of 15 years and above.
·
Owners/Riders/Handlers must be a fully paid member of the VHS -Horses/Ponies and must be registered with the VH
Showing.
·
The competition runs from the 1st January to 31st December. Those applying after the start date can only gain
points after the entry fee has been received by the Show Office, so please apply early as
possible.
·
The Entry fee is £10.00 per horse/pony and entry forms can be obtained from the Show Office or online at www.
veteran-horse-showing.co.uk or e-mail veteranhorseshowing@hotmail.co.uk
·
Extra results cards can be obtained free of charge by sending an A5 SAE to the Show Office.
·
All entrants must register in one of the following groups:
o
Pre-Veteran (15-19 years)
o
Veteran (20-24 years)
o
Veteran Plus (25 years and over)
o
Pre-Veteran (15-19 years)
o
Group 1 – Ponies not exceeding 148cms
o
Group2 – Horses exceeding 148cms
o
Veteran (20-24 years)
o
Group 3 – Ponies not exceeding 148cms
o
Group 4 – Horses exceeding 148cms
o
Veteran Plus (25 years and over)
o
Group 5 – Ponies not exceeding 148cms
o
Group 6 – Horses exceeding 148cms
o
Veteran In-Hand only
o
Group 7 – Ponies not exceeding 148cms
o
Group 8 – Horses exceeding 148cms

Results cards must be signed by the Judge/Secretary to gain points
·
Competitors to fill in and total their own scores.
·
Completed results cards must be returned to the Show Office postmarked no later than the 7th
January.
·
No late entries will be accepted. Please keep a photo copy of your results card before posting it. Recorded
delivery is
recommended for the postage of the results cards. Please send a SAE if you require acknowledgement that your
card (s) has been received.
·
The Veteran Horse Showing cannot be held responsible for any results cards lost in the post. Scores will be
checked
and any discrepancies raised with the competitor.
·
Results will be issued by the 1st February.
·
The organiser’s decision is final and binding at all times.
·
A trophy will be awarded to the winner from each group.
·
Places 1st to 6th will be awarded in each age group and will receive a rosette and prize card by
post.
·
Prizes will be awarded depending on entries.
·
All competitors gaining 400 points or more will receive a rosette by post.
·
Animals over 30 years old may only count their first 12 competitions.
·
Any horse/pony sold during the competition year may transfer any points gained to the new owner on application
to
the Show Office.
